EXTENDED COOKIE POLICY

on the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.

We use cookies to make our website easier and more intuitive. Data collected through cookies help us make browsing more pleasant and efficient in the future.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files sent by the website to the user's device (usually the browser), where they are stored and then sent back to the site on the next visit by the same user. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user's hard drive, transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Some cookie functions may be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term “cookie” refers both to cookies proper and to all similar technologies.

Types of cookies

Cookies may be first-party or third-party: “first-party” means cookies whose domain is the site itself, while “third-party” means cookies related to external domains. Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external party, always referred to as a “third party”, not managed by the site. Such parties may also install first-party cookies by saving their own cookies on the site’s domain.

Another type of cookie is the so-called “Flash Cookie” (Local Shared Objects), used within Adobe Flash Player to deliver certain content such as video clips or animations, in order to remember settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the device but are managed through an interface different from that provided by the browser used.

Nature of cookies

Depending on their nature, several types of cookies exist:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used solely to “carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service” (see Art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator. They may be subdivided into:

  • navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal browsing and use of the website (for example, allowing a purchase or authentication to access restricted areas); they are essential for the site to work correctly;
  • analytics cookies, treated as technical cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve site performance;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided. Prior consent is not required for these cookies (see Cookie management below).

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are intended to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed while browsing. Consent is required for profiling cookies. Under the relevant measure (see Cookie management below), the user may grant or deny consent to the installation of cookies through the options provided in the “Cookie management” section.

In the case of third-party cookies, the site does not exercise direct control over individual cookies (it cannot install or delete them directly). You can nevertheless manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below) or the sites indicated in the “Cookie management” section.

Users are therefore invited to check the third-party site indicated in the table below.

Cookies installed on this site

Below is the list of cookies (grouped logically by function or provider) present on this site. Third-party cookies include a link to the privacy policy of the relevant external provider, where you can find a detailed description of each cookie and the related processing.

System cookies

This site uses cookies to provide a better browsing experience; these cookies are essential for the site to function correctly. You can disable these cookies in your browser using the instructions in the dedicated section, but this will impair your experience and we cannot be held responsible for malfunctions.

Google Tag Manager and statistics

Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MB9TR4Z) loads only with consent for statistics cookies. The container may activate Google Analytics to measure visits. The data and cookies actually used depend on the tags published in the container. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Links to external services

Social networks

Social links open external websites. Their policies apply when you visit them; the links on this site alone do not install their cookies.

Cookie duration

Cookies have a duration determined by the expiry date (or a specific action such as closing the browser) set when they are installed.

Cookies may be:

  • temporary or session cookies: used to store temporary information, link actions performed during a specific session, and are removed from the computer when the browser is closed;
  • persistent cookies: used to store information such as login name and password so that the user does not have to enter them again each time they visit a specific site. These remain stored on the computer even after the browser is closed.

Cookie management

You can accept or reject statistics cookies in the banner. Before you make a choice, and if you reject them, Google Tag Manager does not load. Your choice is stored in your browser as a technical preference and can be changed at any time through ‘Cookie settings’ in the footer. Continuing to browse does not constitute consent.

If you withdraw consent, the site stops loading Google Tag Manager on subsequent visits and reloads the current page. You can also remove any cookies already set by third-party services through your browser settings. More information: https://www.garanteprivacy.it/faq/cookie
